My name is Tank and I’m from St. Cloud, MN. I’m a mix of black lab and corgi. Mommy arranged to buy a purebred corgi from a breeder. She bought toys and bones and everything. But when she went to the breeder to pick the dog up, the breeder had sold the dog to someone else. Mommy was devastated. She went straight to the Humane Society. There I was, sitting quietly in my kennel. It was love at first sight. I reminded her of her childhood dog, but shorter. Much, much shorter. They were calling me Fred, but I was quickly renamed Tank. People say I look like a midget lab, but the vet says I have a lot of classic corgi features. I love to clown around and I’m very friendly. One of my favorite things to do is chase my tail, but I can never get it, so I always give up and go for my leg instead.

She is one of our treasured “senior” luvmutts. Leah was found on the street and taken in by a local rescue organization. She is loving and devoted, and her favorite things are walks, cuddling, and getting brushed. Mom says, “She’s a great testament to the beauty and sweetness of shelter dogs, and how even a 9-year-old arthritic girl can find a new life and lots of fun!”

Hi, my name is Colby and I’m a boxer/Great Dane Mix from Raleigh, NC. A nice police officer found me, my mom, and my siblings on the side of the road. I was the runt of the litter, but I turned out to be the biggest (and most handsome)! My favorite things are licking peanut butter out of my kong toy, getting belly rubs, and leaning all my weight on people and furniture, usually to the point of knocking them over. And I got to do a very special job not too long ago. Daddy made me the bearer of Mommy’s engagement ring!

Hi, my name is Cole and I’m a boxer/Great Dane mix. My family inherited me from a relative who didn’t have the time for such a flamboyant, playful buddy. I love to play with all the neighborhood cats. And when they’re not around, my favorite things are my dad and my old tire. If you throw me the old tire, I will happily bring it back, slobber included.

My name is Zoe and I’m a pug/beagle mix from Atlanta, GA. My two favorite things are leaves and shoes. But when I’m not chewing on those, I have a lot of cat and dog friends to play with. Actually, all I do is play and sleep. Mom says I have more energy than I know what to do with.
