Your Questions About Pug Beagle Boxer Mix
George asks…
Question for you breed experts?
I have a female pup that we adopted from the humane society. She’s a mixed breed and we’re really curious about what breeds she might be made up of. It doesn’t really matter because she’s a great dog and we love her, but it would just be fun to know. We did one of those DNA tests and it came back saying she’s a mix of Boxer, Pug, Chow Chow, Cocker Spaniel, and Beagle. I’ve heard those tests are unreliable and I believe it after getting the results.
The vet guessed she’s a mix between Lab and Cocker Spaniel. I think she definitely has to have some Lab in her, and maybe some kind of Retriever. She has webbed paws and that wavy pattern of hair down her back that some Labs have. She also has the fan-like tail that you see on Goldens, along with the feathering on the back of her legs. She’s 5 months old and about 30 pounds. She’s solid black with some white speckles on one of her paws. Her ears have a little bit of fluff on them. Again, this is just for fun but any educated guesses would be great!

She is so adorable! I would say she def. Has spaniel in her. Those ears proove it. I would also say lab. I think the vet is right.
And lol on those DNA tests. My friend’s dad is a vet and they did the DNA test on their dog just for fun. They know that her dog Aaleia is half golden retriever and half rough collie (both parents are resitered purebreeds) and the test said she was beagle, retriever, spaniel lab and poodel!
