Paisley the Boxer Mix from Maryland
My name is Paisley and I’m a boxer/pitbull mix from Thurmont, MD. I just got rescued last month by my new dad. I was really overweight, but I’ve already lost 20 lbs. I’m a very quiet, mellow dog (when Daddy’s around) and I love people and dogs alike. But not cats. Cats are for eating!

UPDATE: Paisley was adopted in 2007. She is now about 65-70 pounds (depending on recent snack volume). Still obsessed with finding kitties and snacks along the walk route. Having a great life snoozing in any of three beds (one per floor). She’s in great shape and on no medicines.

Update 2015: She’s still hanging in there! Paisley is about 14 now and much grayer in her face. Her hips give her some trouble, but she still wants to walk all the way around the block anyway (I don’t let her). She had an incident with seizures in August, but hasn’t had trouble since. She takes pills for that and her arthritis, plus joint supplements – all dipped in peanut butter to make it easy. I’ve got pictures if I can get back in to the site here…
