Cooper the Spaniel Mix from New York State

Hi, my name is Cooper and this is my brother, Floyd. I'm a cocker spaniel/basset hound mix and he's a beagle mix. Our parents adopted him first, when he was just a skinny puppy at the SPCA. Now he's almost two years old. Mom and Dad were going to wait to adopt another dog, but then I popped up behind the desk at the vet's office. The doctor was fostering me because I was born without all the bones in my legs (I'm doing great now). So me and Floyd are best buddies, but we're very different. He's very high energy and always on alert. I'm more mellow, I just like to chew bones and observe. But I'm lucky I have such a nice big brother!

Gracie the Spaniel Mix from Texas

Hi, my name is Gracie and I'm a cocker spaniel mix from Texas. Me and my brother George were found in someone's backyard. We were infected with heartworm and very, very dirty. But our new parents got us all cleaned up and now we're doing great. I'm a real diva. I hate to go outside and get my paws dirty. I know I'm gorgeous. I even won "Most Beautiful" at a local pet contest!

I was very excited to enter the beauty contest!

I got all prettied up with red bows on my ears.

George the Spaniel Mix from Texas

My name is George and I am a spaniel mix from Texas. Someone found me and my sister in their yard and brought us to my mommy and daddy. They have rescued a lot of dogs in need--there are 21 of us in all! I was sick with heartworm and I was covered in mud and burrs when they took me in. But now I'm all better. I like to play in the mud and then run into the kitchen with an innocent look on my face. I love to get dirty, but I'm a good boy!

I may be a rough-and-tumble kind of boy, but I can still behave when I need to.

I'm always nice to my sister.

And I'm always willing to help unload the groceries!

Molly the Sheltie Mix from Nebraska

Hello, my name is Molly and I'm the "angel" of the Roberts family. (You've met Lucy and Toby.) I never leave my mommy's side. I'm much more of a people-dog than a dog-dog. My last owners got rid of me because they said I was "too barky." I think they were too barky. I have a lot of medical problems, including epilepsy and arthritis, but I have a wonderful vet and of course Mommy takes excellent care of me. I'm very happy I found her!

I am so lucky that my people take such good care of me.

And hey, I still know how to have a good time!

I couldn't have asked for a better home.

Those barky people don't know what they're missing.

Hi, my name is Toby and I'm a spaniel/collie mix from Lincoln, NE. You've already met my sister Lucy. I am the only boy in a household with 4 dogs. I try to impress the ladies, much to the amusement of my parents. Despite my attempts to be macho, they call me the "little whiner." I whine a lot, especially when I'm kicked off the bed. Gringa the Spaniel Mix from Peru

Hola! I'm Gringa from Lima, Peru and I'm 10 months old. I was born in a garage to two spaniel mutts. We all needed homes and Mommy picked me because I was the calmest of my five hermanos. Boy, did I fool her! I love to dig up all of Mommy and Daddy's potted plants and jump on the bed with my dirty paws, but then I give them lots of kisses and they forgive me. My favorite things in life are grass, toilet paper, and chasing pigeons, but nothing is better than a nice warm nap with Mommy and Daddy.

I may look like an innocent little puppy.

But I get myself in lots of trouble.

It doesn't matter because I get away with everything. Look how precious I am!

Nikki the Bichon Mix from California

My name is Nikki and I'm a bichon/cocker spaniel mix from Poway, CA. When my mommy came to pick me up, I got carsick in her Mazda. So...she bought me my own car. It's a PT Cruiser with my name and picture airbrushed on the back. Mommy and I have lots of fun going to car shows all over the western U.S. I was featured in Cruiser Quarterly Magazine, and I've even been in a few parades! Mommy brings me everywhere and I get lots of attention. If only I could get a drivers license!

Hannah the Basset Hound Mix from Virginia

Hi there! My name is Hannah and I'm a basset hound/spaniel mix from Reston, VA. I have funny "elephant ballet feet" but I'm okay with that. When I was just a puppy, I was found on the street and taken in by a rescue group. When I went to the vet to get spayed, they found a bullet in my neck! Luckily it didn't do any permanent damage. The rescue group brought me to a pet expo where I met my new family. Now I have a great life! I get home-cooked food and lots of playtime at the dog park. My mommy is a renowned artist who paints portraits of animals. Her work benefits animal rescue and welfare organizations throughout the U.S. She thinks I'm special. I think she's pretty special, too.

I've been studying to become a ballerina, since my feet are naturally in first position.

I exercise every day and keep my tail fluffed and pretty.

I even bought myself a pink tutu.

The one thing holding me back from becoming a professional ballerina is this tongue.

I try to keep it in my mouth, but it's not easy.

Mommy thought I was so cute she had a doll made that looks like me!
