Darwin the Pit Bull Mix from South Carolina

Hi! My name is Darwin and I am a pit bull mix from Charleston, SC. I also have some husky in me and some other things. My mom found me at an animal shelter during her first year of college and immediately fell in love with me. The animal shelter was going to put me down before my mom rescued me, and I have been her guard dog and wingman ever since. I live on a pond and I love to play with the turtles. The turtles bite my feet and my nose and I love it! I also like to be cuddled with, even though I'm big and kinda scary. My big blue crossed eyes get me a lot of attention. Mommy calls me "Ocean Eyes." I also like to go for car rides, sleep in Mommy's bed, and chase squirrels. I am also one of very few dogs that don't bark, I have barked two times since mommy got me but I like to growl when I play with other dogs. My mommy couldn't love me more!

Vash the Lab Mix from North Carolina

Hi, my name is Vash and I am a lab/pit mix from North Carolina. Daddy came to the shelter looking for a dog, and as he tells it, a "skinny little gold dog" got his attention. I came when he called me and put my head in his lap. He took me home, and I am proud to be his first dog. I'm not skinny anymore, I'm actually rather burly at 65 lbs. Dad says we have a deep connection that he can't describe. I want him to know I think he's pretty great, too.

Hello there. My name is Houle Girl and I'm a pit bull mix from Nikiski, Alaska. I may have some lab or ridgeback in me, too. I have a lot of freedom, and the people I live with are good to me. I love to run wild in the woods, chase the birds down at the beach, and play with the other dogs at the dog park. I also enjoy keeping intruders out of the yard. Once, I had a run in with a porcupine, but the folks I live with pulled out all the spikey things and let me sleep for the rest of the day. Another thing I love is the fire pit at Grandpa's house. Sometimes I get too close and burn my butt. But I always have people looking out for me!

Hi, my name is Inez, and I'm a lab/pit mix from Brooklyn, NY. Mommy found me at an adoption fair in Central Park. Everyone was fawning over some golden retriever puppy, but Mommy spotted a little black blob hiding under a bench. That was me! I was small and scared and I only had one eye. That sealed the deal. She calls me the one-eyed wonder dog. My favorite thing is people. I love people so much that if someone broke into our house to rob us, I would try to play with them instead of being a guard dog.

Pokie the Pit Bull / Husky Mix from Pennsylvania

Hi everyone!  My name is Moonshadow Naoki, but you can call me Pokie. I live in Etters, PA, which is outside of Harrisburg. I just turned 5, and I am a pit bull/husky mix. I am loving, sweet, and fun like my husky mom and I have the muscular body and coloring of my pit bull dad. I am lucky because I have a big backyard to play in every day and I love to run at top speed to catch my Frisbee. Sometimes, though, I just lay the sun and work on my tan. But my most favorite thing to do is play in the snow. I love to jump around and catch snowballs in my mouth. I anxiously wait for winter every year! No matter what anyone says about pit bulls, I want you to know that I love everyone and just want them to love me. I am such a happy, friendly dog!
