Pokie the Pit Bull / Husky Mix from Pennsylvania

Hi everyone!  My name is Moonshadow Naoki, but you can call me Pokie. I live in Etters, PA, which is outside of Harrisburg. I just turned 5, and I am a pit bull/husky mix. I am loving, sweet, and fun like my husky mom and I have the muscular body and coloring of my pit bull dad. I am lucky because I have a big backyard to play in every day and I love to run at top speed to catch my Frisbee. Sometimes, though, I just lay the sun and work on my tan. But my most favorite thing to do is play in the snow. I love to jump around and catch snowballs in my mouth. I anxiously wait for winter every year! No matter what anyone says about pit bulls, I want you to know that I love everyone and just want them to love me. I am such a happy, friendly dog!

Alize June the Husky Mix from Michigan

Hi, my name is Alize June and I'm a husky/pitbull mix from Lapeer, MI. I met my Mommy when she was heading to her car on her lunch break. Someone was giving me and my brothers away out of a box in the parking lot. I knew right away she was my Mommy, so I pushed my brothers out of the way and jumped up to give her kisses. Now I live near a big state park and get to do lots of fun activities like swimming and bike riding. I also love to go for rides in the car (boat rides are even better!) I love my family and my doggie cousin Duke and I am especially thankful for my Mommy!

I'm all set for a mountain bike ride.

From here I can get a good look at the trail before we head out.

I never get tired. I have to wait for Mommy to catch up!

I asked for a new bike for Christmas. Will Santa be here soon?

Neville the Chihuahua Mix from New York

Hi, my name is Neville and I'm an 11-year-old mutt from Brooklyn, NY. The general consensus is that I'm a mix of chihuahua, corgi, and husky. My legs are only 4 inches long, but I'm an avid hiker. My parents take me upstate to explore the mountain trails all the time. Athletic though I may be, I don't like walking on hot pavement in the summer, so I travel in Mom's bicycle basket. I tend to be reserved around strangers, but once I warm up, my oversize personality is barely contained by my little body.

Here I am upstate at Lake Minnewaska. What a great climb!

Patch the Husky Mix from Minnesota

Hi there. My name is Patch. I'm a husky/blue heeler mix from Minnesota. I was rescued from a shelter when I was 2 years old. I'm a shy guy, but I come out of my shell under the right circumstances. I enjoy getting brushed, taking walks, and playing with my brother. I also love Frosty Paws doggie ice cream. And I can howl like Tim Allen on Home Improvement.

People call me shy, but I think I've got a great personality.

I'd love to stay and chat, but I'd better get back to the office.

Oscar the Husky Mix from Georgia

My name is Oscar and I'm an Alaskan husky/Australian shepherd mix puppy from Loganville, Georgia. I was adopted from the Humane Society when I was 6 weeks old. I love what every puppy loves - chewing bones, chasing squirrels, digging holes in the yard, and playing with my friends. I also howl at people as my way of saying hello. Mom says I'm an "absolute angel" and that I have no behavior problems. She doesn't know I sleep on her bed during the day.

Blanco the Lab Mix from Colorado

My name is Blanco and I'm a lab/husky mix puppy from Colorado Springs, CO. I love to be outside in the yard chasing the squirrels, birds and bunnies, and watching the deer on the hill. I also love to play fetch. I talk a lot and I snore in my sleep. My parents love me very much, even when I misbehave. They can't stay mad at me because I have a sweet face.

I prefer to be outside, because inside is boring.

All I can do is nap.

And spend time in the office.

Cubbie

Cubbie is a husky/shepherd mix from Baltimore, Maryland. Her family adopted her from Animal Rescue because she was playing in the water bowl while the other puppies played with each other. When Cubbie was a year old, she won first place in obedience school for stay. She eats her food under a table (her café) and she loves her stuffed chinchilla, which was given to her as an alternative to the family’s real chinchilla, which she’d rather have.

I won a prize for staying. Here I am staying on the carpet.

Leah

Leah is a husky/chow mix from Gainesville, Florida. She is one of our treasured “senior” luvmutts. Leah was found on the street and taken in by a local rescue organization. She is loving and devoted, and her favorite things are walks, cuddling, and getting brushed. Mom says, “She’s a great testament to the beauty and sweetness of shelter dogs, and how even a 9-year-old arthritic girl can find a new life and lots of fun!”

Dodger is a husky/shepherd mix from Coon Rapids, Minnesota. His family adopted him from an ad in the paper. He loves to play with cat toys and small dog toys, revealing a total misconception of his own size. Dodger also loves to go shopping at pet stores.

I do love to shop, but I only buy manly toys.

Things got a little out of control on my birthday.
