Trixie the Hound Mix Puppy from New York

Hi! My name is Trixie True and I'm a 16-week-old hound mix puppy (beagle, perhaps?) from upstate NY. My mommies adopted me on Christmas Eve from the North Shore Animal League. At first, they named me Gypsy, but then they realized I'm much more of a Trixie. I'm a happy-go-lucky little girl. I love to cuddle, play with my big brother, and of course eat, eat, eat! Unfortunately, my mommies just found out that I am going blind from something called PRA, so they are training me to be an extra good listener. It won't be hard, though, because I'm really smart. I'm still looking forward to doing all the things that sighted dogs do, like hiking and swimming! I have a very supportive family and everyone loves me so much...I can do anything!

Rocky the Irish Wolfhound Mix from New York State

Hi, my name is Rocky and I'm an Irish Wolfhound mix from Syracuse, NY.  My parents think I might have some Briard in me, too. They found me on the Internet when I was staying at a shelter called Spring Farm Cares in Clinton, NY. The shelter people said that I picked my Mom and Dad out of all the nice people who came to see me. I just had a good feeling about them. You met my brother Checkers last month. He's very annoying, but I guess all little brothers are.

Eevon the Norwegian Elkhound Mix from Iowa

My name is Eevon and I'm a Norwegian Elkhound mix from Iowa. I was given to my mommy as a gift for her 16th birthday---her first very own dog. We love to watch animal shows on TV together. But I'm no couch potato! I know lots of tricks and I'm very smart and talented. I can get out of my kennel and lock the door behind me.

Bella the Terrier Mix from Louisiana

Hi, my name is Bella and I'm a terrier/hound mix from Baton Rouge. Animal Control found me and my litter mates on the side of the road in a tiny crate. I was brought to a shelter, where my Mommy and Daddy adopted me just 5 days before Hurricane Katrina. Boy, was I lucky! I love to play and go to the dog park with my friends. I'm also a huge LSU Tigers fan!

I think my Mom and Dad think I'm a human kid.

I get to do whatever I want around here.

They even let me go in the pool!

They also got me this awesome LSU jersey.

Ava the Pit Mix from Missouri

Hi, my name is Ava and I'm a pit bull mix from Columbia, MO. Mommy found me at a gas station when I was only a few weeks old. I've since grown up to be a big girl, but I'm pretty shy. My favorite things to do are play with my brother Milo, lay around and cuddle. I'm afraid of beeping microwaves and jingling car keys. Some people meet me and are automatically afraid of me because of the way I look. I just want them to pet me! Mommy says I've been an angel since day one. How could you be scared of this face?

I'm here to tell you that pit bull mixes are great dogs.

I'm obedient and loyal.

I'm very quiet and I don't cause trouble.

I was quite an adorable puppy.
