Hazel the Dalmatian Mix from Oregon

Hi, my name is Hazel. I'm a 13-year-old dalmatian/staffy mix from Portland, OR. My parents took me in when I was only 5 weeks old, and they were so protective of me that they made me sleep in their bed. I grew up to be 70 lbs., and I still insist on sleeping on the bed (they actually bought a bigger one to accommodate me). I am very smart and I always tilt my head when people are talking, trying to analyze what they're saying. They call me the "People Whisperer". I have my own, pet, too, a terrier mix named Oscar who I love very much. My favorite place to go is the beach. I'm so overjoyed when I get there, I bark with glee the whole time. For an old girl that's beaten cancer and had her knees replaced, I think I look pretty good!

Can we go to the beach today, please?

Me and my dog, Oscar, are sick of this rain.

Finally, I get to play in the sand!

The snow is fun, too, but nothing beats the shore!

Pearl the Dalmatian Mix from Tennessee

Hi, my name is Pearl. I'm a dalmatian mix puppy from Tennessee. Daddy was looking for a new dog online and he fell in love with my picture. I am a really nice dog, but I'm shy around kids. They run around a lot and I try to stay out of their way! I don't mind strangers, though, as long as they pet me! I'm just a big lap dog.

It's true. I met my family online.

There used to be a stigma around that sort of thing, but these days it's pretty common.

I tell my friends as long as they're careful who they agree to meet in person, they'll be okay.

I got lucky when I met my Dad.

I'm just the poster child for finding love on the Internet!

Bella the Dalmatian Mix from Georgia

Hi, my name is Bella. I am a dalmatian/pointer mix and live just outside of Atlanta, GA with my Mommy and Daddy. Mommy's friend found me on the side of the road, and he knew she had been waiting for the right doggie, so he took me to her house. Now I have my furever home! The doctor thinks I am about 5 months old and I am just starting to lose my puppy teeth. I love to run laps around the house and go to my Grammy's house so I can run around the backyard. I am very spoiled. I get to go to work with Daddy and I get to sleep in their big bed. Every time Mommy goes to the store, she always comes back with a new toy for me! 

I'm not spoiled, it's just that a lot of things in this house are mine.

My name is Steve. Steve the Dog. I'm a dalmatian/collie mix from Arizona. My mom and dad were on their way to see a friend's dog compete in a dog show. They walked through the park and noticed a local shelter having an adoption day. They went into the trailer with no intention of getting a dog, but there I was. They took me for a "test walk" around the park and I was such a good boy that they had to take me home. They never made it to that dog show.

I like to keep it simple. Like my name. Steve. Steve the Dog.

I spend time every day chewing my bone.

I like to hang with my buddies at the fence.

It's a good life. And I don't need a fancy schmancy dog show to prove it.

Jamo the Lab Mix from Finland

My name is Jamo and I'm a senior lab/dalmation mix from Finland. At the respectable age of 12, I'm getting slower physically, but I still have the mind of a puppy. I love food and I eat everything I can, preferably in big quantities. I also like to give hugs. In the winter it gets very cold in Finland, and my people try to make me wear a blue sweater. I don't like it.

Pleeeease don't make me wear the sweater.

Yes! No sweater! I'm free!

Okay, it's a little cold, but I still don't need the sweater.
