Bowie the Terrier Mix from New Mexico

Hi, my name is Bowie and I'm a terrier/dachshund mix from Albuquerque. Mommy and Daddy already had 3 other dogs when I came along. They went to PetSmart to buy one of the other dogs a birthday present, and there I was, up for adoption. Mommy fell in love with me right away because of my wiry hair and my one blue eye. They call me their "patchwork dog" because I'm so unique-looking. My fur is very adaptable, and Daddy likes to give me makeovers. I'm pretty patient with him, but I'd rather play with my toys.

Baby the Corgi Mix from Florida

My name is Baby and I'm a 13-year-old corgi/dachshund mix from Florida. I am stubborn and I huff when I'm asked to do something I don't want to do. My family nicknamed me "Tripper" because I'm always getting in the way. I get in front of people and then just sit down in the middle of where they're walking. But I'm very loving and cuddly. I like to sit on laps and give hugs. I also love to play with my sister Hollie and chase the squirrels in the yard. 

They think I'm in their way, but really they're in MY way!

Baxter the Beagle Mix from Philadelphia

Hi! My name is Baxter and I'm a 3-month-old beagle mix from Philadelphia, PA. My mom was rescued from a puppy mill and I was born in a foster home. They brought me to PetSmart for adoption day, and that's where I met Mommy and Daddy. They claim to be "the happiest dog owners alive" because I was house trained within a week, and I prefer chewing toys to chewing furniture. I also love to play with my roommate the kitten, and I never discriminate when it comes to a warm lap.

I'm the best puppy ever!

I'm floppy and playful.

You can trust me with your leather furniture.

Sierra the Dachshund Mix from Ontario

Hi, I'm Sierra the dachshund mix from Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Mommy and Daddy had talked about getting a dog, but decided they weren't ready. Then Mommy met me at my foster house and just had to take me home! I am very good at getting what I want. I put my face on my paws and make my eyes all big and sad. And whenever Mommy straightens up and puts my toys in the basket, I follow right behind and take them out to play again. The only ones who can outsmart me are the cats. They corner me and I'm afraid to move past them!

I can do whatever I want, you know.

I can play with my ball on the couch.

I can take a nap in the middle of the kitchen floor.

Helen the Lab Mix from Georgia

Hi! My name is Helen and I'm a lab/dachshund mix looking for my forever home. I'm currently in Atlanta, GA courtesy of Atlanta Pet Rescue. I am about a year old and I have a super shiny black coat that I get a lot of compliments on. I look like a lab, but I have short little legs like a dachshund. Savvee the Dachshund Mix from California

Ahoy! Today is Talk Like a Pirate Day. My name is Savvee and I'm a dachshund/beagle mix from Orange County, CA. My parents are big  Pirates of the Caribbean fans, so that's where I got my name (Captain Jack Sparrow likes to say "savvy"). When I first came home, I was 8 weeks old and didn't do much besides sniff around. Now my favorite thing to do is go to the playground! I run all over the jungle gyms and I even go down the slide. My adventurous spirit fits my pirate name really well!

Cookie Monster

Cookie Monster is a chihuahua/dachshund mix from Las Vegas, Nevada. He was very shy when he first came home, but with lots of love he has become an energetic, spunky and sometimes bossy little guy. Cookie Monster loves being chased and pulling the fur off his toy squirrel. He also knows how to speak the phrase "I want some!" ...which started off cute, but now he says it constantly.
