Tank the Lab Mix from Minnesota

My name is Tank and I'm from St. Cloud, MN. I'm a mix of black lab and corgi. Mommy arranged to buy a purebred corgi from a breeder. She bought toys and bones and everything. But when she went to the breeder to pick the dog up, the breeder had sold the dog to someone else. Mommy was devastated. She went straight to the Humane Society. There I was, sitting quietly in my kennel. It was love at first sight. I reminded her of her childhood dog, but shorter. Much, much shorter. They were calling me Fred, but I was quickly renamed Tank. People say I look like a midget lab, but the vet says I have a lot of classic corgi features. I love to clown around and I'm very friendly. One of my favorite things to do is chase my tail, but I can never get it, so I always give up and go for my leg instead.

Loki the Jack Russell Mix from North Texas

Hi! My name is Loki and I'm a Jack Russell/corgi mix from the Dallas area. Mommy's friend found me as a stray, and Mommy knew right away that I was meant to be hers. I'm well-behaved and very friendly. I've never met a person I didn't like (some call me the Ferocious North Texas Lick-Hound). My favorite treat is ice cubes. I wait patiently in the kitchen doorway for them, and then I bring them onto the carpet and let them melt there. It's fun.

Milly the Jack Russell Mix from Australia

G'day folks, my name is Milly. I'm a Jack Russell/corgi mix (some say "jorgi") from Adelaide, South Australia. My family adopted me from the Sandy Creek Dog Sanctuary when I was six months old. I've been to my non-furry sister's school many times for Show and Tell and like to wait for her at the gate after school. Before she arrives I usually get lots of pats and chats from the rest of the kids on their way home and sometimes I even get to race them across the school oval. Nobody beats me though - not even other dogs. If I'm not running, I'm normally flopped out on my beanbag under Mum's desk while she makes little tapping noises and slurps coffee at a table that I can't see the top of. Every now and then she stops to rub my tummy and ruffle my ears and tells me that I'm her best friend. When not running or being the world's quietest secretary I love chewing big chunks of wood (Dad reckons I'm a furry mulching machine), delicately nibbling grapes than hang low enough for me to reach and giving our three chickens a good sniff.

Otis the Corgi Mix from California

My name is Otis. Otis the Dog. I'm a corgi/shepherd mix from San Diego. I came from the local Humane Society. I love going to the dog park and meeting new friends. I also love to chew my toys into dime-sized pieces (Daddy is still trying to find one I can't destroy). I get along great with my older sister, and all around I'm a great little dog. Mommy and Daddy appreciate that I'm not a "morning person", so they get to sleep in on the weekends.

I wonder what the day has in store for me.

Maybe I'll get to run around at the dog park.

Or take a nice long nap.

Or even better, find a new toy to chew up.

It's going to be a good day!

Baby the Corgi Mix from Florida

My name is Baby and I'm a 13-year-old corgi/dachshund mix from Florida. I am stubborn and I huff when I'm asked to do something I don't want to do. My family nicknamed me "Tripper" because I'm always getting in the way. I get in front of people and then just sit down in the middle of where they're walking. But I'm very loving and cuddly. I like to sit on laps and give hugs. I also love to play with my sister Hollie and chase the squirrels in the yard. 

They think I'm in their way, but really they're in MY way!

I may be a golden girl, but I've got a lot of spunk left in me!
