Sandy the Sheltie Mix from Nebraska

Hi, my name is Sandy and I'm a sheltie mix from Lincoln, NE. You've already met my sisters Lucy and Molly and my brother Toby. I was the first one our parents adopted, though! I was found as a stray when I was about a year old. I ended up at the pound, and that's where I met my new mommy and daddy. Since then, they've adopted the other three dogs, but I'm the princess. I love getting groomed and wearing clothes, and I hate getting my feet wet. My favorite thing to do is chase squirrels and birds--I've caught two birds in the air!

I like to look glamorous as much as the next girl.

So I hate when I have to get my paws wet.

But this is all in the name of catching another trophy bird.

No birds are safe with me on the hunt!

Molly the Sheltie Mix from Nebraska

Hello, my name is Molly and I'm the "angel" of the Roberts family. (You've met Lucy and Toby.) I never leave my mommy's side. I'm much more of a people-dog than a dog-dog. My last owners got rid of me because they said I was "too barky." I think they were too barky. I have a lot of medical problems, including epilepsy and arthritis, but I have a wonderful vet and of course Mommy takes excellent care of me. I'm very happy I found her!

I am so lucky that my people take such good care of me.

And hey, I still know how to have a good time!

I couldn't have asked for a better home.

Those barky people don't know what they're missing.

Toby the Spaniel Mix from Nebraska

Hi, my name is Toby and I'm a spaniel/collie mix from Lincoln, NE. You've already met my sister Lucy. I am the only boy in a household with 4 dogs. I try to impress the ladies, much to the amusement of my parents. Despite my attempts to be macho, they call me the "little whiner." I whine a lot, especially when I'm kicked off the bed. I also like to cuddle. So maybe I'm not as butch as I'd like to be, but I still think I have a lot to offer.

The ladies love me, you know.

I'm highly intelligent.

I'm strong and fierce.

And I'm always smiling. So what if I whine a lot? Don't all men?

Lucy the Collie Mix from Nebraska

Hi! My name is Lucy and I'm a collie/shepherd mix from the Lincoln, NE area. I have a brother and two sisters, and we have a lot of fun playing together. I'm the smartest one, though. I'm really good at stealing food off the counter (including whole pizzas) and I can open soda bottles. When I was really little, I had Parvo and I almost didn't make it. Mommy and Daddy kept me on a heating pad a lot, and they think that's why I love to cuddle so much now. I'm a 60-pound lap dog. But they love me!

I told you I was smart.

That was hard work. Anybody up for pizza?

I know where I can get one...

But it might be a little soggy when I get it to you!

Domino the Collie Mix from Hawaii

Hello! My name is Domino and I'm a border collie mix puppy from sunny Hilo, Hawaii. I might also have some husky in me, too. Mommy had a rough Christmas this year, so Grandma decided to surprise her with me! She found me at a farmers market. Even though I've only been in my new home for a few weeks, I love my Mommy so much and I try to do everything I can to make her happy. I even open doors! I am growing fast, but I like to sit on laps like I'm still a little puppy. I can't help it, I just love to love.

I really love my brand new home.

Sneakers the Collie Mix from Ohio

Hi! My name is Sneakers. I’m a border collie mix from Worthington, OH. You met my brother Toppers yesterday. We both came from the same place, Buckeye Border Collie Rescue, but I was adopted first. They call me Sneakers because I have black legs and white feet, so it looks like I’m wearing high-tops. I’m outgoing, friendly, and just an overall happy guy. I like to tear apart my stuffed toys, meet new people, and play as much as I can. I have tried several times to get on the big yellow bus with the neighborhood kids, but they won’t let me go with them. I’m very different from my laid-back brother, but I like having him around. Especially since I take his toys. 

I'm what you'd call a go-getter. I go get all the toys.

Because all the toys in this house belong to me!

Toppers the Collie Mix from Ohio

My name is Toppers, or Toppie for short, and I’m a border collie mix from Worthington, OH. I came from a place called Buckeye Border Collie Rescue. My family had already adopted my brother Sneakers, and they decided to come back for me. I was so happy! Before I got rescued, I worked in a prison, but they fired me. I tried not to take it personally. I’m shy and gentle by nature. I love to snuggle my stuffed toys and take long walks. My brother is very outgoing and eager to meet new people, while I prefer to hang back behind Mommy’s legs. I wasn't cut out for prison life. 

I wasn't much of a prison guard.

I was afraid of all the inmates!

You can just sense the hesitation in my prison ID photo.

I'll take a nice soft teddy bear over a hardened criminal any day.

Steve the Dalmation Mix from Arizona

My name is Steve. Steve the Dog. I'm a dalmatian/collie mix from Arizona. My mom and dad were on their way to see a friend's dog compete in a dog show. They walked through the park and noticed a local shelter having an adoption day. They went into the trailer with no intention of getting a dog, but there I was. They took me for a "test walk" around the park and I was such a good boy that they had to take me home. They never made it to that dog show.

I like to keep it simple. Like my name. Steve. Steve the Dog.

I spend time every day chewing my bone.

I like to hang with my buddies at the fence.

It's a good life. And I don't need a fancy schmancy dog show to prove it.

Panda the Collie Mix from Oregon

My name is Panda and I am a border collie/cattle dog mix from Portland, OR. I’m originally from Los Angeles, where I was employed as an actress. I appeared in a TV commercial, but then my co-stars and I all came down with parvo. The training company we worked for gave us all away to families. Mine moved up north, and although I miss Hollywood, I love the lifestyle here. My favorite place is the beach – I would live there every day if I could. Recently I got a new little sister who I love very much.

Thea the Cattle Dog Mix from Oregon

Hi, my name is Thea (short for Theano-Purl) and I’m a cattle dog/border collie mix from Portland, OR. I was adopted through Northwest Border Collie Rescue a few months ago. Mommy says I’m pure sunshine. I love every man, woman, child, and fellow canine I meet. But I also have a mischievous side. Mom thinks I must have been a vacuum cleaner in a previous life because I eat everything I find, including her craft supplies. More than anything, I love my older sister Panda.

I can't help it if I'm hungry. I'm a growing girl.
