Pete the Mystery Mutt's DNA Test Results!

Remember this handsome guy? Pete was voted winner of our Mystery Mutt Contest back in May. His prize was a free Canine Heritage Breed Test from Dog-DNA.com.

Well, Pete just got his test results back. Much to everyone's surprise, there was no Shepherd in his genetic makeup! But he did have Akita, Chow Chow, and Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

Pete's mom Jessica says, "He's a mutt through and through! Surprising results, but it was fun and suspenseful. Thanks again!"

Hi, my name is Roxie and I'm a chow/shepherd mix from southern MD. Mommy adopted me from the pound when I was a year old. She thinks I'm the cutest dog ever. She named me Roxie because it rhymes with Foxy (I look like a fox)! I live on a horse ranch and I love to help Mommy herd the horses (although I'm not very skilled at it, the horses don't mind). Hello! My name is Dani and I am a pekingese-chow mix (peki-chow) from Dallas, TX. When I was little, I was found abandoned in a warehouse. But Mommy rescued me, and now I have a great life! I am a "people dog". I love all people, especially children. Dogs are okay as long as they recognize me as their queen! My favorite thing to do is take road trips. But my favorite favorite thing is Mommy.
