Lexi the Beagle Mix from Connecticut

Hi, my name is Lexi and I'm a beagle/pointer/whippet mix from Hebron, CT. I was adopted from the Danbury Animal Welfare Society when I was 2 years old. A few years later, my parents discovered I had shotgun pellets in my back! But you'd never know I had a difficult childhood, because I have a positive attitude. I love agility, and I'm the fastest dog at the dog park because of my long legs. I'm smart, too. When Mommy turns her back, I can scarf up a whole dish of cat food in one lick.

Copper the Beagle Mix Puppy

Hi there! My name is Copper and I'm a beagle/Japanese chin mix. Mommy calls me a Chingle. A man bought me as a gift for someone else--who rejected me!--and I was non-refundable. So for awhile I lived outside on the man's back porch--in the winter! It was awful and I got very sick. Then my new mommy found me and brought me to the doctor, who made me all better. He called me "Fireball." Now I live inside with my mom and an older dog named Cloudy. Cloudy has lots of toys and a cozy bed. Now they are mine. I bother Cloudy a lot, but she just growls at me and wags her tail, so I know she really likes me. Sometimes, I even get my very own human boy to play with. I think I'm going to live happily ever after.

Cooper the Spaniel Mix from New York State

Hi, my name is Cooper and this is my brother, Floyd. I'm a cocker spaniel/basset hound mix and he's a beagle mix. Our parents adopted him first, when he was just a skinny puppy at the SPCA. Now he's almost two years old. Mom and Dad were going to wait to adopt another dog, but then I popped up behind the desk at the vet's office. The doctor was fostering me because I was born without all the bones in my legs (I'm doing great now). So me and Floyd are best buddies, but we're very different. He's very high energy and always on alert. I'm more mellow, I just like to chew bones and observe. But I'm lucky I have such a nice big brother!

My name is Duke and I am a beagle/bulldog mix puppy from Morris, IL. I spend my days playing with my big sister and getting into everything. I like toys that make noise (especially the ones that give Mommy a headache), and I love people, especially kids. I'm getting bigger every day, but I'm still a bundle of puppy energy!

Baxter the Beagle Mix from Philadelphia

Hi! My name is Baxter and I'm a 3-month-old beagle mix from Philadelphia, PA. My mom was rescued from a puppy mill and I was born in a foster home. They brought me to PetSmart for adoption day, and that's where I met Mommy and Daddy. They claim to be "the happiest dog owners alive" because I was house trained within a week, and I prefer chewing toys to chewing furniture. I also love to play with my roommate the kitten, and I never discriminate when it comes to a warm lap.

I'm the best puppy ever!

I'm floppy and playful.

You can trust me with your leather furniture.

I'll wear a sweater without a fight.

I don't mind a lazy day here and there.

Milo the Beagle Mix

My name is Milo and I'm a beagle/foxhound mix. Mommy adopted me as a puppy. Now I'm 50 lbs. of solid muscle and hyperactive to boot. I had so much energy that the vet told my mommy to get a second dog for me to play with. Now I have a sister, and that's a lot of fun, but old habits die hard. My favorite things to do are chew, run, and bark. I can clear most fences and I've recently learned that I can jump through window screens. Those things are flimsy! Mommy says I am "a challenge" but she still thinks I'm worth it!

I think today I will eat your CD collection. Unless you have a better idea.

Okay, Kong Toys are fine. I'm on board with the Kong Toy.

Sally the Beagle Mix from Connecticut...Our 200th luvmutt!

Hi, my name is Sally. I'm a beagle mix puppy from Stratford, CT. I was adopted from a great rescue organization in Scotia, NY called Help Orphan Puppies. (I mean, who wouldn't want to help orphan puppies?) I am blind, but that doesn't stop me from living life to the fullest. Mom says I'm the sweetest puppy ever, despite being feisty and mischievous. Although I have my own basket full of toys, I prefer shoes, toilet paper rolls, and empty cups. I also enjoy sneaking into the dishwasher to look for leftovers, and I can open the kitchen cabinet to get into the garbage can. But at the end of the day, all is forgiven because I love nothing more than to snuggle with Mommy.

Just because I have special needs doesn't mean I'm fragile.

I have no idea what Mommy did to me, but I'm getting lots of attention today.

I may be blind, but I'm still a dog.

Savvee the Dachshund Mix from California

Ahoy! Today is Talk Like a Pirate Day. My name is Savvee and I'm a dachshund/beagle mix from Orange County, CA. My parents are big  Pirates of the Caribbean fans, so that's where I got my name (Captain Jack Sparrow likes to say "savvy"). When I first came home, I was 8 weeks old and didn't do much besides sniff around. Now my favorite thing to do is go to the playground! I run all over the jungle gyms and I even go down the slide. My adventurous spirit fits my pirate name really well!

Snoopy the Schnauzer Mix from Vancouver

My name is Snoopy and I'm a schnauzer mix from Vancouver, BC, Canada. I'm very mellow, unless you put me near water. I don't like water. Mom and Dad tried to take me canoing, but I climbed on top of Daddy's head and stayed there until we capsized. I also don't like getting water in my beard. I recently got a new little human brother, which is very exciting! When he cries during the night, and Daddy can't calm him down, I wake up Mommy for reinforcements.

I've really grown up a lot since my little brother was born.

This isn't him. I actually don't know who this guy is.

But I love going to the playground with my brother!

He's a good kid. Sometimes I trade him my bone for his sippy cup.

My name is Buddy the Wonder Dog. I'm a cocker spaniel/golden retriever/beagle mix from Hamilton, OH Mommy says I have "healing powers" that help people feel better when they're sick. She's a great mom. Actually, I used to belong to our neighbors. Mommy would come and walk me every day, and after awhile they said, "Would you like to keep him?" I'm so glad she said yes!

I am so happy Mommy took me from the neighbors.

She takes me to Ohio State games.

She walks me around the neighborhood in my wagon.

And she even got me a friend that looks like me!
