Pete the Mystery Mutt's DNA Test Results!

Remember this handsome guy? Pete was voted winner of our Mystery Mutt Contest back in May. His prize was a free Canine Heritage Breed Test from Dog-DNA.com.

Well, Pete just got his test results back. Much to everyone's surprise, there was no Shepherd in his genetic makeup! But he did have Akita, Chow Chow, and Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

Pete's mom Jessica says, "He's a mutt through and through! Surprising results, but it was fun and suspenseful. Thanks again!"

Bocephus the Lab Mix from Mississppi

My name is Bocephus and I'm a lab mix from Mississippi. I'm also mixed with shepherd and akita on my Mom's side. Some friends of the family had two dogs that (oops) made some babies. And here I am! I'm still a puppy, but I'm the biggest puppy ever. I follow my Mommy everywhere she goes. My favorite thing to do is play tug-of-war with sticks. I'm a good boy and my family loves me very much. 

Hi there! I'm just rolling around in some hay, chewin' a stick.

Ooh! I found an even bigger stick to play with!

I've been playing with sticks since I was only a few weeks old.

I think it's the fiber from the sticks that gives me such a shiny coat.
