Max the Lab Mix from Maryland
Hi! My name is Max and I'm a lab mix from Baltimore. My mom and dad adopted me through the Furry Friends Network in PA. When my birth mom was pregnant, she was taken in by a wonderful lady and had her puppies (including me) in the lady's house. She raised us for 6 weeks and then brought us to PetSmart, where I met my new mom and dad. Mom was shopping, and when she caught up with Dad he was holding me like a newborn baby. "I knew we were in trouble," she said. But they love me! They call me their furry son. Recently, we had a big family reunion with my birth mom and all my brothers and sisters. It was so much fun! We're going to have one every year.
I feel very lucky that my mom got to give birth to me in a nice home instead of on the street.
Foster families are heroes!
My new family is great, too. Even though my dad swims with his clothes on.

Aww- HI Max! I own Stella the lab/pit bull mix from Baltimore (who will be submitted when she's older). Maybe we'll meet you someday!

I know Max and his family personally - and what a wonderful family they are! Max's mom and dad took on the responsibility of a young, needy pup and helped him to become a very handsome, well-mannered, well-adjusted adult doggie. I wish all foster dogs were as fortunate as Max is! Thank you, Max's foster parents, for rescuing this awesome boy. And special thanks to the families who adopted Max's mom and littermates too. I consider each one of you a "rescue angel!"

Max, you are a celebrity! I am SO proud of you! I showed Sammie (Max's birth mommmy) your pictures on the computer. She is so proud of her handsome and well-mannered son. She couldn't be happier to know that you are living such a great life with your human parents, Genia and Ryan.
