Niki the Chihuahua Mix from Georgia

Hey, y'all!  I'm Niki and I'm a chihuahua mix from Atlanta.  I'm really smart and like being in charge of things.  My mama says if I was a human she'd have to home school me, because the principal would call her every day to come get me.  Although people think I'm really serious and mean, I'm not. I just like to show ‘em who’s boss!  I'm very charming and I've got a great sense of humor. I love car rides, belly kisses and all my toys that are bigger than I am. 

I may be soft and cuddly to some, but watch your back.

I've perfected the "innocent" face.

I've also mastered the art of camouflage.

Hero the Collie Mix from Washington

Hi, my name is Hero. I’m a border collie/Llewellyn setter mix from Seattle, WA. I take pleasure in the simple things, like chewing expensive furniture. But I really do live up to my name. When I was a little puppy, my mom was riding her bike, and she fell and got hurt. I jumped on her back and barked and yelled until someone came and helped her. I got extra dinner that night.

Being a hero is just part of my nature.

I keep dangerous invaders out of our yard.

When I go to the beach, I keep my eye out for swimmers in distress.

They call me Hero, but I just like to think of myself as a good dog.

Joey the Rottweiler Mix from California

My name is Joey and I’m a rottweiler mix from San Diego, CA. When my mom rescued me, I was just a little puppy, and I was eating drywall that fell out of a dumpster because I was so hungry. But now I have a good home. They give me lots of toys (which I destroy immediately) and vegetables (yum) and they don’t care that I snore really loud.

I first started eating drywall when I was working on a home improvement project.

It actually contains lots of fiber and is great with ketchup.

I haven't had any in years because my family wants to keep the walls where they are.

Veggies are probably better for me after all.

Max the Great Dane Mix from California

Hello there. I’m Max, a great dane/boxer mix from Los Angeles. Two families adopted me and gave me up before I even turned 7 months old. But now I have a loving family that knows I’m just a 140-pound baby. My favorite place to be is the beach. I’m always the first one in the water, beating out my lab and golden retriever siblings. When I’m not at the beach, I’m lazy, I snore, and I like to hang out with cats. Me, the other 2 dogs, and the 3 cats all came from shelters. Shelter pets rule!
