Your Questions About Husky Pit Bull Dogs

Joseph asks…

is it ok to house a pit bull with other different breeds of dogs like a husky?

I live with a family that when I got here it was just their mini shitzu and my ghost and 1 child now there is a pit bull in the house, with 2 children ages 3yrs and 6 months with this pit bull my husky, and the mini shitzu and the dogs are all males and I really dont want my husky killed by this pit so I havent introduced them to eachother

Sarah Jones answers:

Why did you get the dog before researching ? No it isn’t impossible for your dogs to get along – but it is very Unlikely .

Just like the Pit Bull – the Husky is a High Prey & High Energy driven dogs and the fact you have 3 males shows you haven’t done any research .

Both pits & Huskies have to have an ALPHA Male type personality & if you do not train these dogs correct I wouldn’t be worried about your dogs – I would be worried about your KIDS .

NEVER LEAVE THEM ALONE W/ ANY OF YOUR KIDS – EVER- I DON’T CARE IF IT IS JUST FOR 1 SECOND .

Your Questions About Chihuahua Poodle Mix Puppies Price

Charles asks…

WHAT SHOULD I FEED MY DOG?

I HAVE A 9 MONTH OLD PUPPY. SHE IS A CHIPOO (CHIHUAHUA POODLE MIX). PRICE IS NO PROBLEM, I’M JUST SO CONFUSED ON WHAT IS THE HEALTHIEST DOG FOOD. I KEEP HEARING BLUE BUFFALO AND SCIENCE DIET. WHAT IS THE BEST DOG FOOD? THANKS FOR YOU HELP.

Sarah Jones answers:

Most dogs will thrive on most foods. No one food is right for all. There is no real information available for free on the net comparing how healthy dogs are on different diets. Part of the reason you are confused is that you are being given very little objective information. All the stuff you read on Blue Buffalo is based on its ingredients. Nothing, nothing on the nutrition that is in. The exact ratios of the ingredients and how they are processed have an enormous effect on what nutrients are available.

If your dog is doing well on what you are feeding it, stick to it. In reading through things here, how many times have seen people asking about why their dog has diarrhea after a food change?

Your Questions About Boxer St Bernard Mix Puppies

Daniel asks…

how much exercise will this dog need?

im considering a puppy

the mother is weimerheimer. father is boxer st.bernard mix.

also, will it be easy/hard to train? or average?

Sarah Jones answers:

Weimerheimers are more energetic than bernards obviously. It depends if the puppy takes on after the mom or dad. I’d say about 2 15-20 minute walks would be nice for the dog. The dog will most likely not be easy to train. I’d say a bit harder than average.

Your Questions About Corgi Great Dane Mix

Susan asks…

What breed of dog best describes the below criteria??

Firstly i would like to say im adopting a puppy from a shelter. However, there are a LOT of litters, with different mixes of breeds, and i would like to find a puppy that would grow into a great dog for me.

ok:

-First a companion, a dog that will always want to be with me, that will WANT to sleep on my bed and lie down with me on my couch (i dont care if you think dogs shouldnt sleep on your bed, every single dog my family have owned had been a shelter pup, and have always slept on my parents bed.)

– a dog that could be a watch dog, but not a guard dog. a dog that would bark when the post man or a stranger comes to the door.

– either medium, medium/large, or large/big (bull mastiff size is the biggest i’l go)

– a dog that will get on well with other dogs (friends and family bring thier dogs to our home all the time) and because i want to buy another puppy when this one is completely trained.

– a dog that will do good with a 20 minute walk in morning, and a 20 minute walk in afternoon, and lots of periods to be outside (for pee, poop and play)

I was thinking a spaniel mix puppy or great dane/corgi mix?? would either of these dogs do well in these conditions?

P.S — i work 6 hours a day, 4-5 days a week, but il have 3 days to have the puppy settle in when i get him/her (and yes, i know this isnt enough time to potty train before you say)
we have an average/large sized yard where i always am, so the dog will be with me running around, plus i will teach him/her to fetch and wel play fetch for 10-20 minutes etc
add: I am aware that puppies need ALOT of time and training, but i do have time. 3 days not going out of the house and leaving the puppy for small amounts of time, and getting him started on potty training sounds fine to me, and can be done. everybody works, and if someone is buying a puppy they cant just quit for the puppy. Its been done before, plus will be checking up on him/her 3 hours after i start my shift.

Sarah Jones answers:

Hm a great dane/corgi..that’s intersting!

A great dane would be perfect for sleeping in the bed with you plus the two 20 minute walks would be good just DONT walk them too much as a puppy because you dont want joint problems. But great danes dont like it outside too much. They prefer to be inside more often but since it is a mix it might be different! Plus the dane would definately bark and let you know someones there

You can write a persuasive essay! It worked THREE TIMES for me! They work wonders! Your parent(s) will be so thrilled and surprised that you actually took time to write the essay and they will know that you really want the dog. Good luck!
